Attractions in Komiza:

Tito's Cave is located in the bottom of hill Hum. In 1944. there was supreme headquarters of the Partizan army and Tito's seat of government. Island Svetac (St. Andrew) is located around 30 km west of town Komiza. It is 3.5 km long and 1.5 km wide.

Highest peak of island Svetac is Serti kuk (311 m). Island Jabuka is located around 70 km west, north-west of town Komiza. It is the only Croatian island built of eruptive rocks. Island Jabuka is 97 m high steep cliff. You can get to island Jabuka in only one place on south-west side of island. Cave Modra is located on island Bisevo, south-west of island Vis and town Komiza.

Cave Modra is located in a bay Balun. It is 24 m long, 10-12 m wide, 15 m high and 16 m deep. Cave Modra has 2 entrances. One entrance is smaller and made for a small boat to get in. Other entrance is larger and it is below sea level.

Sun light penetrates through larger entrance and breaks by passing through the water and deductes of the bottom of the cave. The deducted light fills the cave with silver-blue glow.
