Sunbeam 24.2 - surprisingly spacious sailing yacht

/ Saturday, January 28, 2012 /

With more than 15 percent added window area, the saloon of the new 7 m Sunbeam 24.1 Avantgarde from Austria is significantly brighter than that of the previous model.
Other new features include the interior fitted with bright African teak and energy-saving LED illumination. The two bunks in the bow are 2.35 m long, and those in the saloon 2 m in length.

Optional - centreboard or fixed keel
That is surprisingly spacious for a 7 m cruiser that can be fitted optionally with either a centreboard or fixed keel. The boat with factory number 1, which will be on exhibit, was manufactured using the fibreglass hand lay-up technique, while vacuum infusion technology is used for series production craft. A sail area of 29 m2 (into the wind) is specified for the 1.4 tonner.

Technical Specifications:
LOA: 7 m
Beam overall: 2.50 m
Draft - centreboard version: 0.72 m / 1.40 m
Draft - keel version: 1.45 m
Unloaden weight: 1600 kg

Sunbeam at boot 2012: Hall 16 / D 53
